Fakfak is a district in West Papua province, bordering the Seram Sea, Arafura Sea, Bintuni Bay and Kaimana Regency.
Fakfak is known as a producer of nutmeg, so this district is nicknamed the city of nutmeg. The Fakfak mountain forest contains a wealth of flora and fauna, the Fakfak Mountains Nature Reserve is the only nature reserve in Fakfak Regency, a karst mountain rainforest which mostly consists of hills and mountains and sub-mountains. there are 138 species of birds including: Southern Cassowary, Yellow legged brushturkey, Pheasant pigeon, thick billed groud pigeon, cinnamon ground dove, Papuan pitta, Eastern hooded pitta, Banded yellow Robin, black sided robin, Emperor fairy wren, Northern variable pitohui, Rusty pitohui, Arafura shriketrush, Papuan babbler, Gray crow, Papuan hornbill, magnificent riflebird, magnificent bop, Lesser bop, moluccan king parrot, sulphur creased cockatoo, coconut loryket, large fig parrot, double eye fig parrot, rufous bellied kookaburra, Papuan dwarf kf, yellow billed kf, Papuan black cicadabird, boyers cuckooshrike, newguinea helmeted friarbird, tawny breasted honeyeater, yellow billed longbill, golden monarch, frilled monarch and other birds.

To get to Hide from Parking area about 800 meters for magnificent rifle bird.
To get to Hide of Magnificent Bird of Paradise ,banded yellow Robin, Papuan Pitta, Eastern hooded pitta about 500 meters and Southern Cassowary nearby Parking area
